Mira and Mira Oasis area is great for families with a car, however if you're one that is dependent on the metro or public transportation then you might find it a bit difficult. Unfortunately, the community has yet to develop a public transportation system within its gates. If taking the bus is something you want to try then Sustainable City is the closest stop and from Mall of Emirates, you can catch F32 feeder bus. Taxis are available but it is definitely best to pre-book.

There are plans to build a school convenient for the residents of Mira and Mira Oasis, which the students can walk to using one of many walking trails within the community. However, for now the nearest preschool school options are Emirates British Nursery, Blossom Nursery, and Smart Start Kindergarten. For the older curriculum, Jumeirah English Speaking School is located in Arabian Ranches. As for post-secondary, Dubai International Academic City is a short 20-minute drive away which includes the Dubai campus of Zayed University. Al Ghurair University and Emirates Aviation University.

Medical facilities are also a part of the plan to build within the community, but for now there are plenty of options in the nearby neighbourhoods. Residents can utilize Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, Fakeeh University Hospital and Nad Al Sheba Health Centre, which offer numerous medical services.

Mira Town Centre has some great nearby options such as Zaatar W Zeit, Primavera, Spill the Bean and London Dairy Cafe. Nearby are even more options, such as Burger King, Freedom Pizza and Bhoujan Restaurants. If you're looking for something a bit more up market with golf course views, there's the Arabian Ranches Golf Course less than a 10-minute drive away which have Ranches Restaurant and Maison Mathis.

Mira Town Centre is the heart of community. 33,360 sq. ft. of shopping, dining and entertainment. Residents are able to do their weekly shop at Spinneys, grab a treat at London Dairy Cafe, and on your way home you can get your haircut at the barbers or nails done at Tips & Toes. Kids are feeling ill? Head to Life Pharmacy for some medicine.

If we're talking a bit larger in size and a more shopping centre feel, there's Dubai Outlet Mall and Dubailand about a 15-minute drive away. Dubai Outlet Mall offers luxurious brands at fabulous deals and then you have Dubailand with 75+ food options and 350+ retail outlets. However, if you want to venture out to the city's popular malls, it's not that much of a trek as it's only a 25+ minute drive away.
